Motels initially appeared in the USA. The Model T designed by Henry Ford saw automobiles turn into cost-effectivemode of transport for a lot of  folks which allowed them to travel all over the region than everbefore. It’s widely acknowledged that the title ‘motel’ initially appeared in 1926 as ‘Mo-Tel’ when the ‘Milestone Mo-Tel’ in San Luis Obispo California was named.

Railways

Trains have been the primary means of transport before the engine car starting to be popular. So it helps make sense that mostlodging was next to to the railway stations. Wealthy travellers could dwell in upmarket accommodations in the city and they would be picked up and transported there by that establishment.

In 1908 the first Model T Ford was built. This was a important event and changed the way folks moved about the region. In fact many people that had never ever traveled observed a new freedom.

Auto Camps

The term ‘Auto Camp’ is not widely acknowledged these days as it’s been replaced by words like ‘trailer park’ or in Australia, ‘caravan park’. A lot of municipalities across the USA in the 1920s began to present aplace of land close to the town to accommodate car travellers. Earlier than this they generally used to camp in farmer’s fields or on the side of the avenue. The camps provided several standard services and introduced trade to the city.

Countless numbers had to take to the road after Wold War I to search for work. Cabin Camps sprang up with simple amenity and commonly next to a fuel pump and food outlet. The advent of World War II affected new building as supplies were scarce and expensive, to economize builders built extended structures with all the rooms connected. These have been far more affordable to construct than independent cabin type lodgings. Independent garages were no longer used as car parking was at the front of each unit. Soon after the war was over and prosperity came back individuals started out touring in the USA like never before. The same thing occurred right here in Australia immediately after the war but we didn’t see a motel right up until the mid 1950s. Hotels and country pubs provided a place for  vacationers to stay.

Franchises and Motel Chains

Earlier on in the background of motels they were usually a tiny enterpriseowned and run by a married couple and their family. As more motels appeared, associations were set up which advertised the concept of travelers transferring on from one fellow member motel to yet another affiliated with the same organisation. The portrayed image was one of consistent top quality lodging. One such association, which is now over  ninety years  old is the AH&LA.

Currently a large number of motels belong to a franchise. Equivalent to McDonalds, this is supposed to offer the guest with a constant degree of support and facilities as can also be experienced with the huge accommodations like Marriott and Hilton. Motel franchises similar to Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Rodeway and Econolodge can be noticed worldwide.  So, if you were looking for Accommodation Santa Monica while exiting a motel in Tucson, you just might end up in a carbon copy of the motel in Santa Monica you left behind.

Early Motels In Australia

The first motel in Victoria was the Oakleigh Motel in Melbourne’s east. Developing commenced in the early 1950s and was finished in time for the 1956 Olympics. It was entered on the Heritage List in 2001. Bathurst a town east of Sydney and the Great Divide in New South Wales had a motel in 1954. In 1957 The Motel Federation of Australia was shaped.

Gradually motels have been developed throughout Australia replacing the conventional pub or hotel rooms. Quite a few of our old hotel buildings still function as watering holes and restaurants but the suites are not often let, and are in disrepair. There are some hotels that have renovated their rooms and it is a fairly a nice experience to stay in one of these establishments. Quite a few of the old hotels who had spare property built Motels adjoining their premises. If for example you have been hunting for Motels Deniliquin or for lodgings in Deniliquin, a small town in southern New South Wales, you could stay at the Sportsmans Arms Hotel Motel.  This is an example of a Resort that has been there since 1856 and a up to date motel to cater to  the new developments has been developed next door.

The Phi Phi islands consist of 6 small islands to the south of Phuket which teem with fine sandy beaches that lead up to soaring limestone cliffs to form the most magnificent scenery

.
Phi Phi islands are approximately 50 minutes  from Phuket by speedboat.  Phi Phi’s jaw dropping beauty is very much a large part of it’s allure.  Phi Phi Don needs to be just about the most popular tourist destinations along the whole of the Andaman Coast, especially during  peak season which runs between December to March, when most of the  tourists visit, and is the better known of the six islands. The larger island has perfect tropical beaches lining its southern and eastern shores and is almost dreamlike.

The Phi Phi Islands Thailand really came to worldwide prominence when  Phi Phi Leh was used as a location for the worldwide smash movie The Beach starring Leonardo Di Caprio.  Phi Phi Leh which is the smaller of the two islands, now draws lots of day trippers from Phuket which is just a 45 minute boat ride away.

Ko Phi Phi is a popular place for diving, kayaking, snorkelling and other activities, and has long been a common place to take your PADI course.  There are various trips offered by Phi Phi dive operators and a typical trip is a two tank local dive within the Marine park which will cost maybe a couple of thousand baht. Phi Phi is a true natural wonder and is certainly one of the most beautiful places to visit and dive in Thailand. Some popular Phi Phi dive sites are:
Hin Dot
These pinnacles, often called Chimney Rock, are located just to the south of Phi Phi Don.
Garang Heng
Garang Heng is a small submerged reef just east of Phi Phi Le.
Yung Island
This island just north of Phi Phi Don has a rocky beach and some coral.
King Cruiser Wreck
A popular and perhaps one of the best dive sites off Phi Phi is King Cruiser which has remains of a passenger ship that sunk in 1997 after it hit the Anemone reef.

The most common ways to get around on Ko Phi Phi are really by foot and by longtail boat.  Longtail taxi boats ferry between all beaches and are readily available, and on Phi Phi Don, you can also walk to any beach.  Charming beachfront Phi Phi island hotels are scattered around the island, and make guests feel as though they have truly woken up in paradise and should also give an impression of the outstanding beauty of the Phi Phi Islands and surrounding Andaman Sea. To sum up, the Phi Phi Islands are just what you would expect from a tropical paradise.
